colour pencils on paper, 11 x 14″, 2011.
drawn at the kitchen table while koyuki kept coming back to me with a piece of mini orange to peel it for her even though she didn’t eat it. i guess she just wanted to see inside or see me peel it. that’s okay with me. her curiosity inspires me.
this drawings will be for sale at Winter Wonder Handmade Market (flock and gather event) next weekend. if you’re around in saskatoon, come check it out. there will be tons of talented artists and crafters, who will be selling amazing works.
this is my first color pencils drawing in 6 months. i’ve been drawing for elijah during that time and i feel refreshed in so many ways.
elijah is right. “drawing is fun!”

i drew this a couple weeks ago.
i found a photograph of a little boy holding an egg (it’s a goose egg). the boy had curly blond hair but i switched it to black straight hair. and the egg… is going to be a useful organ instead.
i had three legs and four arms…

a drawing on construction paper (2001).
i used paul’s colour pencils from his elementary school days. back when i didn’t know that he existed. his name was written on each of them. it’s funny that now his colours are with me on my drawing.
