this is my first time drawing a monkey. actually, it’s not a monkey, it’s a chimpanzee. i can’t really tell them apart. i should know better, since i’m a plastique monkey. but even my plastic monkey (in the “about the author” photo) is actually a gorilla.

i can’t figure out all of this monkey business. i need to pay more attention to the monkey reality.

in the stats for my website, i can tell how people end up coming here. a lot of people find this website after seaching for “monkey drawing” or something similar: “how to draw monkey”, “drawing girl monkey”, “poke the monkey”, “drawing monkey brain”, etc. my favorite google search is “monkey pictures that grandmas would like” (i’m on the first page of results). i’ve been wanting to do a “monkey drawing” just for the sake of making grandma happy. i hope grandma will love me for this drawing.

until she notices it’s not a monkey, it’s a chimpanzee.

there haven’t been any monkey drawings on my website until now (and maybe still not). i don’t know why this drawing turned out this way, but at least it has a monkey in it.

i was thinking of a title for this drawing and i came across this famous physics problem with a monkey and a pulley, the monkey on a rope. it was designed by lewis carroll (who wrote alice in wonderland). i never heard of it before, and i don’t understand much about physics. but maybe you’ll enjoy solving the monkey gravity challenge.
